Every dimension of a project is considered so that the built environment creates a seamless, harmonious experience.
After winning the international design competition for Guangzhou Terminal 1, Mark Molen was stationed in Guangzhou, China for 12 years to lead our multi-disciplinary team and complete two terminals.
Collaborating with the client and manufacturers, the design team created dynamic interior spaces as well as signage, furniture, furniture fabrics, carpet and retail planning and design for the airport. Furniture design for the project was done by in-house industrial designers Alma & Anna Vander Molen.
Molen Design has extensive experience providing overall airport design standards including interior materials, color palettes and signage standards as well as product and signage standards so that all future additions or expansions will fit into the existing airport environment harmoniously:
